My PC appears to have been infected with some kind of adware/virus within the last 24hours. This only appears to affect HTML pages, it seems to scan the code for certain key words and modify the page to link these words/phrases to relevant pages. To date I have noticed this happening on the following phrases:-

operating system
make up
hard disk
gas fire

I only discovered it while viewing a site I did for a business which sells Fireplaces and noticed the term gas fire had the format removed from the text and the words double underlined. At first I thought that this was in my code but I've checked the code and even uploaded the pages again. The HTML code is being modified before IE displays it, when I view source I can see the code which has been added, but I just can't find the file that's responsible. Viewed the same site on another PC and it displays fine. Now I'm aware of this problem I've noticed it on a few more sites. The address the link takes me to is,

http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=5&k=operating system

the term operating%20system being replaced with the phrase the adware is searching for.

I use windows XP and run Norton AntiVirus, which is up to date, I also use spy-bot, none of these have discovered anything out of the ordinary. I downloaded "Highjack This" today and the following is a copy of the report produced.

You have a LinkReplacer hijacker variant.

Remove these entries and files.
