Solved: AVG 7.5 email scanning

    Just upgraded to AVG 7.5 and now notice my outgoing mail isn't being scanned. It sends ok but no scanning is taking place. Incomming email is being scanned ok.
    I'm using OE 6 for an email client. Does anyone have any ideas what may be going on?

    Nevermind ... feel free to call me stupid if you want.
    I found a box under email server smtp properties, "activate this server for sending email" and notice it wasn't checked so I checked it and now it works fine.
    Guess working a 19 hour shift has kind of diminished my observation skills a bit.

    As an aside, I never scan outgoing mail (it can cause problems).
    If everything coming in is scanned, plus you have performed a system scan which gives confidence nothing nasty is lurking, then there can be nothing that it would find outgoing.

    Afterall, if it never found it coming in, it sure isn't going to find it going out!

    Good point, I think I'm going to heed your advice and disable outgoing monitoring. I can do without the lengthy delay it takes while scanning anyway.
