I'm not very good at computers, so bare with me.

I have tried using fraps and created a couple of "test" video clips. However, these .avi files that are created just freeze my computer. It's not even when I open it. Even if I just right click the folder the files are in, everything freezes. I have to wait a couple of minutes for the computer to close the programs and unfreeze. I can't even delete the files because it will freeze before I can do so.

After browsing the internet I've read that a lot of people have had this problem. Most of the time it is suggested to download certain codec packs. However, after trying CCCP and XP Codec pack, the problem is still there.

    Problem solved with more browsing:
    Start > Run
    Type in: regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll
    Click OK.
