I would like to be able to do a full system backup, to include XP Mode on my Dell laptop running Windows 7 Professional with Virtual PC and XP Mode.

EaseUS support (re my enquiry about EaseUS Todo Backup) tell me that their "product will backup all the data on your system and boot partition when doing system backup. If the Virtual PC is on your system partition, our product will back them up together".

I don't know if Virtual PC is on my system partition, or where else it could be. And I just cannot grasp the concept of a Virtual PC.

Does the EaseUS support reply mean that, if I make a system backup of Windows 7, the program will at the same time back up (and subsequently will it restore?) the Virtual PC and full XP Mode - ie OS, programs and data?

Alternatively, if I have to clone my Windows 7 hard drive and subsequently restore from the clone, would that also restore the Virtual PC and XP Mode ??

Would appreciate some simple explanation. Thanks!

Dell XPS 13

Windows 7 Pro - Virtual PC & XP Mode

Virtual pc is an emualtor prrgram that emulates
the basic hardware of a PC.
It is used to load an image file that contains your XP mode installation.
Virual PC is just a program like any other program on your computer
and the XP mode installation is just a file.
When you backup your drive,it backs up all the data,
including programs and files,so XP mode will be backed up also.
Everything that is in the original backup image will be restored
when the drive is restored.

Simple answer, yes,it will also backup and restore XP mode.
