I just received my replacment AC adaptor. I put my battery back in and plugged the laptop in, but when i push the power button the battery indicator light flashes red four times. There are no lights on. Does this mean my battery is fried. Originally i thought the jack needed replaced, but the guy told me it was just my cord which Best Buy confirmed. So after getting the new cord i have this new problem. Usally there is a battery indicator light on when the battery is in and it is plugged in. I tryed taking out the battery, unplugging it and holding the power button down, but that didnt work. I also tryed it without the battery in. Is my battery just bad? Thanks for any help.

Thank you,
Dan

Try plugging the laptop in and then push the power button. I have had the same thing happen to me when the laptop would only work when I had it plugged in. I had to replace the battery.

I guess it is the battery. I know it didn't have much life left, but after the guy taking stuff apart to look at the jack i figure it could be anything. I know it turned on a week ago. I guess i will spend 50 bucks and get a battery. I really should just get a new laptop, but i don't have the money at the moment. I'm down to 1 hinge and with the cost of a battery, and cord, probably be better off.
