I have a Belkin F5D7230-4 Wireless G Router connected to my desktop running XP Pro. I connect to my router with my Toshiba Satellite M115-S1061 laptop that's running Vista Ultimate. I've had my router for about 8 months now and have had no problems with it. But about two weeks ago it started acting up. The signal is strong and the taskbar icon shows I'm connected, but it won't connect all the way to the Internet. The problems is not only with my laptop, because the connection to the Internet is also lost at the desktop. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the router, but no change. Any suggestions???

Post Ipconfig /all for both computers when attached to the router.
Can you connect to the 'net without the router?
Have you power cycled the modem?

I ran Ipconfig /all but couldn't copy it. How do I do that?

Right-click in the dos window, Select All.
Ctrl-C to copy, Right-click, paste in to the reply window. (Or Ctrl-V to paste).

Actually, in the command prompt window, Ctrl-C doesn't work. When you have selected all the text, just hit Enter and it's copied to the clipboard.

My 12 year old son finally admitted that he went to the Belkin site and changed some of the settings. I changed the settings back to how I had them, and now everything's good. Thanks for all the help.

In order to use Ctrl-C in the Dos window, you must enable Quick edit mode in Command Prompt properties.

Which doesn't appear to be the installation default, and probably won't be available to most folks. OTOH, Enter always works... ;)
