Solved: Belkin Router

    I Got A Belkin Router And I Lost The CD-Rom That Came With It. Is There Any Way I Could Install The Belkin Router With Something Else. Please Help

    Yep, you have absolutely no use for the CD anyway. All the setup is embedded in the router, the CD is only included to screw things up. :)

    When you connect your computer to the router, do this.

    Start, Run, CMD

    In the command prompt, type IPCONFIG

    The IP address of the Default Gateway is the address to paste into the IE address bar to access the setup screens.

    What kind of broadband modem do you have? Is this a wireless or wired router? How about the make/model of the modem and the router?

    I Got A Comcast Modem..And Its A Wired Router..the model of the router is:F5D7230-4

    OK, all you need to do is to turn on the router, and hold the reset button for 15 seconds or more. Then, connect the Comcast modem to the WAN/Internet port of the router, and your computer to one of the LAN/Network ports.

    Turn everything off.

    Turn on the modem, wait for a couple of minutes.

    Turn on the router, wait for a couple of minutes.

    Boot up the machine, and you should be connected.

    Plug it in. :) You may have to adjust some settings, let us know if you run into issues.
