Hey... here's a new one on me.

I downloaded / installed the free FLV player from BitComet and it works nicely, including full screen option.

However, as I looked in my Start menu, it was nowhere to be found. Likewise, I could not even spot it in Control Panel, Add / Remove Programs. The only way I can launch it is to double-click on a FLV file.

I think this is the first time I have experienced something like this.

What's going on? How would I ever uninistall if it is "invisible."

This is just bizarre.

I have looked everywhere and cannot find a reference to this player.

I mean, even if it is buried in some oddball place, Add / Remove would be the ultimate "proof." I have looked at every entry, multiple times.

I know... impossible, right?

Uninstaller Included? No
License Type Free
Limitations No limitations

So if you want to uninstall this app, just delete it from C:\Program Files. You may have to reassociate your movie file types with a different player. If ya have problems doing that, let us know!

Man... I must be going blind. I went back to the site and looked for "uninstaller included? No" and don't see that anywhere.

Regardless, would I not still see the program in add / remove? I did not think you could bypass that Windows mechanism.

Also, I should have mentioned in my original post that I tried "the hard way" by looking in Program Files. Again... nothing.

I am mystified.

This is a standalone exe file. I just downloaded it, when you click on it there is no 'install' it just fires up. Look where you downloaded it to, and delete it.

Geez... you're right.

So rare any more to have stand-alone EXE's, I didn't even think about that. DUH !

Actually, Audacity is like that.

But a big THANKS.
