Hi. I don't know if this is the right forum (because i don't know what the problem is).

I have been playing this game for almost a year know, almost every day. I played earlier today, but now i can't log into the game or even open the website. I know my friends can play and open the website. A friend of mine suggested that they blocked me or my IP from the game (i didn't do anything wrong or get banned). Anyone know how to proceed?

I hope someone can help me since I'm kinda addicted to the game.

What's the URL of the site you can't connect to?

Also, can you connect to the site using Safe Mode With Networking?

    ----------------------------------------------------------

How to Access Safe Mode With Networking

While the computer is turning on, tap F8 once every second until a black screen with white text appears. Using your arrow keys highlight the option Safe Mode With Networking and hit Enter.

Note: If you're using Windows XP, connect to your modem or router with an Ethernet cable, then follow these directions.

Well, the URL works for me. (y)

If you're not able to access the site using Safe Mode With Networking, then it's probably not a firewall or something of that nature blocking access.

    -----------------------------------------------------

Unfortunately, it is possible that the company has blocked your IP Address. You're positive you are not responsible for any illegal/unwarranted activity on their site?

Having said that, I don't think it is a probable scenario.

This is the only site you can't connect to?

Also, are you experiencing any other redirecting or similar symptoms?

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista or 7 type CMD in the Search box after Start)

    Type the following command:

    tracert www.heroesofnewerth.com

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

Yes I am pretty sure, just playing as everyone else. I played a game before dinner and after dinner I couldn't log in. I've never experienced anything like this before and i can connect to everything else.

This is in danish though. I think the important thing is "Anmodning fik timeout" which is "request timed out" in english:

This may be a routing issue--with the problem being your ISP, networklayer.com (whatever that is), or between them.

Notice that once you hit networklayer.com it bounces around a bit (4 nodes) and then dies.

When I hit networklayer.com it bounces around a bit (4 nodes, but different ones and no time outs) and then goes to the destination.

Or, since you seem to get to just one hop away it may be that your IP address is blocked. Your IP is listed here on several lists. Those lists are supposed to be for email, but I've noticed that some sites use them more generally. Read the info there; it explains how your IP can get on those lists even though you have not been naughty.

If it's the first problem you will need your ISP to resolve it. If it is the second problem you may get it resolved with the info at that link I gave, or by contacting the site you are trying to reach, or may need your ISP's help.

Hi I think i figure out what the problem is. Apparently some "major" servers in USA is down, so a little portion of players can't log on. I was told that it wasn't their problem, but someone was working on that.

Thanks a bunch for your help. Really amazing that I can find this forum on google and get help like this. Thanks!
