Hi all. That nasty blue screen comes up every now and then with the STOP:0x0000008E

    I'll attach my dump files.

I have no idea about this stuff. Don't make me get that 12 year old kid down the block to come over here and fix it. That's humiliating. :p

Thanks for all of your help.

Most of what you have posted date back to 2011 - some are 2008.

    Download BlueScreenView
    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
Download link at the bottom of the page.

    Download > Install.
Once it has scanned > Click on Edit > Select All > File > Save Selected Item
It will open in Notepad - or save to Notepad > Copy > Paste.
Then Post the last 5 minidump files

    Check this link first

BlueScreenView is where I got these dump files - right before I posted. Do you need the 5 files from the upper window in BSV?

nv4_disp.dll - Nvidia driver needs help?

    TY

Let it scan - Click on Edit > Select All > File > Save Selected Item
It will open in Notepad - or save to Notepad > Copy > Paste.
Then Post the last 5 minidump files

    nv4_disp.dll - relates to Nvidia
    Run the scan from here.
    NVIDIA Driver Downloads

Well, I got interrupted and came back to my computer - everything looks normal, except now I have an NVIDIA Settings icon in my tray. LOL I'm not sure what I did and what happened while I was away. Shall I mark this one solved and come back if it happens again? I don't want to leave the thread open if nothing is happening.

Thanks for your help. I appreciate your time.
