I'm working on a project right now but I've run into a problem. I have a CSV list of URLs for around 700 images and I need to download, resize, and rename them all. Manually this will take way too long for the project to be practical in any way by downloading each URL one at a time.

Is there a program out there that can take a list of image URLs and auto download them all? Would be a huge help if anyone knows of one. I've tried searching for one but all the one's I've found only work one URL at a time.

I'm new to these forums so if this is in the wrong forum let me know.

    Welcome to TSG!

WGET will download files via HTTP or FTP, and will read the URL from an input file. You may have to modify your CSV file, Wget expects one URL per line.

Be sure to download the documentation as well.

Thanks a million, will check it out now.

Now if only I can figure out why my version of Excel won't let me save files CSV format I'll be in business.

This program isn't matching any of the documentation or tutorials for it. All the tutorials describe it as a single file that uses CMD prompt to operate and yet the setup file just gave me a folder full of non executable files that don't seem to do anything. The included documentation explains how to use all of the commands and everything but not how to start the program in the first place. Also I haven't seen any documentation that implies it can receive commands from a CSV file.

Am I just looking in the wrong places?

Make sure you download the version that works for windows and not Linux.

After sorting through enough of the directories I found the EXE buried so I got that working, and further digging found the documentation on the file input commands. The thing worked like crazy and got all the images in just under 30 seconds after I got it all figured out. Thanks for the help, now I'm off to delve further into these wget documents to see what other nifty things it can do.
