Every time I start my computer, open a program, or just wait a couple of minutes I get a pop up box that says "bad image" in the upper left hand corner and the following in the text box : C:\PROGRA~1\Google\GOOGLE~1\GOEC62~1.DLL is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling google, I've run my avg anti-virus, malwarebytes anti spyware and I've run registry checks and fixes through both the Advanced System Care and CCleaner programs, and the error remains. What next?

Press the Windows key + R to open a Run box.

    Type regedit

    Go to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows

In the right-hand pane, look at the AppInit_DLLs value.

    Double-click on it.

    Delete the C:\PROGRA~1\Google\GOOGLE~2\GOEC62~1.DLL part only.
