    Hi,

As the title states can 1 monitor be run from dual video cards in motherboards with crossfire or sli?

Or is it only if you are using 2 monitors?

    Thanks

Crossfire and SLI mode are specifically engineered to display on one monitor using the power of two video cards. Take it out of crossfire or SLI mode and its back to normal.

Unless you can afford to update to the latest and the greatest video cards for gaming, most recommend getting one top end video card versus two that are good cards but not top end.

yes. one monitor can run with a SLI graphics card set-up

one card will be in the master PCI-e slot (blue slot or closest to CPU)
the second card will be in the secondary PCI-e slot. next PCI-e slot down

you just hook up your monitor cable to the DVI jack port that has a number 1
next to it on the card in the master slot.
hook nothing external to the secondary card except the internal bridge
which came with your SLI motherboard (in the box). this goes between the 2 cards on top. like a bridge. :=)))

Ohhhhh don't forget to hook up the internal power connections to the graphics cards too
at least one connection on each graphic card.
