    Yes you can, just do an upgrade and it should go pretty smooth.

    but will I still have all of the programs I installed on home?

    As long as you do an UPGRADE, all your settings and programs should be the same. Before any upgrade always make a backup of your important files. Just good practice.

    If you upgrade from WinXP home to WinXP pro none of your documents or programs will be there.

    Please backup all of your files.
