I am considering dual booting my win7 Home Premium and win XP PRO. Before I think further about this I want to ask a "loaded" but perhaps really stupid question. Will XP run faster on this Compaq machine; description in my signature, than it does on my old clunker? What will my major problems be, if any?

XP will run faster. Problems may be XP drivers. Most often you can force feed them, but be prepared to have some driver issues to solve.

Thanks Bernardo but have decided to use VirtualBox. Doesn't look easy but think that is what I will try, with lots of help.
