Are you right clicking on active links? That's the only place you'll get the option for new tabs on the context menu.
If you aren't on the link, the context menu will have the Back, Forward, Reload options.

ctrl +T opens a new blank tab

holding down the ctrl key while left clicking on a link will open that link in a new tab

Do you get a menu when you right click the links and what's on the menu?
Also, does Middle Click work (eg: click the mouse wheel on the link)?

Yes, that is a very large number of options.

Have you installed any plug-ins/add-ons recently? These will often give additional options when right-clicking an item.

It may also be the source of your problem.

    ---------------------------------------------

In addition to the middle mouse button, you can hold down Ctrl and then left-click the link. The link should open in a new tab.

But both of those are just workarounds. Let's see if we can fix the original problem.

I agree with Cody. Most of those are not normal menu items so I would suspect an Add-on causing the problem.
Open Firefox in Safe Mode (Hold the Shift key while clicking the FF icon and click the "Start in Safe Mode" button).
Check the right click menu and see if it still contains all those options and if it will now open links in a new tab.

    Sorry about that.

No, if you would please just list what Add-ons and Extensions you have installed in Firefox.
