I am having a problem accessing certain websites, such as microsoft.com and adobe.com. This problem just started out of nowhere, and I have tried everything I could think of to fix it. I ran the Diagnose Connection Problem, and I got this error:
Error attmpting to validate the Winsock base providers: 2
Not all base service provider entries could be found in the winsock catalog. A reset is needed.
Well, I ran Winsock XP Fix, and this didn't fix the problem. Then, I reset Winsock entries to installation defaults, and I reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults, and this didn't fix the problem either. I also ran an adware/spyware scan, and a virus scan. I can't think of anything else to do. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
