Trying, without luck, to uninstall Mozyhome. It is apparently still running because I get a message "More than 7 days since your last backup."

    Running Windows XP Home.
Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2
OS Version: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3, 32 bit
    Processor: Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU N280 @ 1.66GHz, x86 Family 6 Model 28 Stepping 2
    Processor Count: 2
    RAM: 1015 Mb
Graphics Card: Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family, 224 Mb
    Hard Drives: C: Total - 73793 MB, Free - 54078 MB; D: Total - 73787 MB, Free - 73714 MB;
    Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC., 1000HE
Antivirus: AVG Anti-Virus Free, Updated: Yes, On-Demand Scanner: Enabled

    Tried:
    1. >Control Pannel > Add/Remove > Uninstall
Windows Installer says " The feature you are trying to usr is on a network that is unavailable. Click Okay to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the install package "mozy.msi" in the box.

    2. Under MY Computer shows Mozyhome Online Backup (File type: Instal Package (*.msi). I cannot open it. It just sits there without opening.

    > All Programs > Mozyhome > Uninstall. Windows Installer message "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed.

Cannot call Mozy because I do not have the premium package.

    Any suggestions?

Have you looked at the items that are configured to start with Windows?
A component of Mozyhome may have been left in there, so triggering the backup reminder, even though Mozyhome itself was uninstalled some time ago.

You need to remove that startup item. Easiest way to see all your startup items in one place is with Ccleaner from here:
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

It also allows you to disable or remove any startup item.
You can also use CCleaner to remove any redundant or non-working entries in Add/Remove Programs.

    Mozy Help : Uninstalling MozyHome
    http://docs.mozy.com/docs/en/user-home-win/guide/tasks/uninstall_c.html

    Quote.
'Uninstalling MozyHome does not remove your files from the Mozy servers. If you replace your machine, you can associate your backed up files to the same computer or to a different computer, restore your files if necessary, and resume backing up.'

Uninstall MozyHome Remote Backup Completely with Uninstall Tool.

Uninstall Tool – Free Uninstall Tool, Removal Tool and Uninstaller Downloads

I have not used the above uninstall tool and cannot say if it will work for you or not.
    Edit.
Just downloaded said program - not the best un-install program around but was suggested on Mozy forum!

If you try Ccleaner - Do not use the Registry Cleaner.

Many thanks for all the help.
As an aside, I'm also a blues harp and guitar player. Learned from Dave Keller (davekeller.com)
