    Hi all.. I'm working on a page at www.radioslipstream.com/wp

    it's a wordpress install with a theme called sandbox and a stylesheet called shades of gray which I am modifying.
    all is going relatively well, except I just noticed that in IE the content centres itself on the page, while in firefox it is set up snug against the left side (how I want it!)

    do you know what is causing this anomaly? and how to force all the content to the side in IE?

    #wrapper should have it's left and write margins set to auto.

    margin:0px auto;

    This will center it in more standard based browsers.

    This is the wrapper code.

    Code:
    #wrapper {
    	min-width: 700px;
    	max-width: 1000px;
    	text-align: left;
    	left: 0px;
    	top: 0px;
    	position: relative;
    I want it on the left (as it shows in firefox) NOT centered. merci.

    Ok I thought you wanted it centered. Remove the text-align:center; from the body styles.

    yeah as fyzbo said, it may also be caused by body styles. can you paste that too. Also you probably don't need that position: relative in the #wrapper.

    i got rid of the center div and it works now..seems pretty obvious.. *headslam* i guess i just thought centered text wouldn't equal centered content, since all the text was left aligned anyway.. thanks!

    centered text is not supposed to mean centered content, but to IE it does.
