Should I be cautious about those damn love or religious email messages received from friends asking you to send them to someone else and not brake the chain, in order to get your wish to come through?

I notice a lot of other email addresses in the sender's message. Are those messages designed by malicious persons or spammers trying to get as many email addresses as possible to contaminate?

    Thank you

Thanks, I've read a lot of comments with Google and they are in fact sent by spammers and malicious individuals.
