    Hi All,

    Some advice please,

On a fresh install of windows 7 (Ultimate ) 64bit, is it best to install the chipset drivers 1st ? and am I best using windows own drivers or MOBO ( Asus ) manufacturers Drivers ?.

I assume all other drivers can be installed in any order after chipset drivers ?

    Regards

    Jumbo 1.

Ignore the first couple lines but look at the install order given in this post by crjdriver http://forums.techguy.org/8858078-post2.html

I would install the official manufacturers drivers. The drivers Windows provides you work without issue most of the time but its better/easier to get the correct ones now and make a system image then run into issues later.

    No you don't.

You should only update your BIOS if there is a fix / compatibility update for your specific issue. Do NOT update just because there is a newer version available. You can end up doing permanent damage to your motherboard.
