Has anyone replaced a Windows OS with Chromium?
I can't find decent reviews of this OS. I'd like to get rid of Windows completely on my desktop if doing so is a practical possibility.
Anyone had good experience doing this? Bad?
Thanks.

What programs do you run and are there programs of the same type that will run on this OS?

I do NOT see any listing of any programs that can be run on it.

Oh, I merely wanted to know if anyone was running the Chromium OS on a desktop PC, and if so, any problems they had encountered, or features that were missing.
Thanks.

Chromium OS is the open source version of Chrome OS. It's designed for developers and for Web applications.

Chrome OS is for home users, but still designed for the Web and can only be installed on Chromebooks (Google's own computers).

Both are certainly not good Windows alternatives. You'd be better off with a Linux distribution (Ubuntu, Zorin...).

Thanks for all the good information. Think I'll stay with Windows, and investigate those others that were mentioned.
