    Friends,
    Hello.
Since my lap top is quite 'old' with Windows XP reinstalled, there is confusion with regards to the display driver and the Ethernet adapter. I managed to get to some Websites which correctly identified these but d/l not possible?, maybe there is a equivalent driver avail now with a different name  But b4 I install something thought it is best to get some expert help first :)

The lap top is Tundra 1557 MS 2141.
    The display driver identified as
    Mobility M10 version 6.14.10.6404, created on 11.13.2003
    and
    the Ethernet adapter is
    Intel 8255x PCI 10/100 version 5.42.22.0 created on 7.1.2001

Kindly adv if any links avail for these and/or any updated equivalent are around now.

Thx a ton for all the help. Cheers :)

It looks like your M10 is an ATI mobility radeon 9600.
You can find the drivers here.
    http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html
Only thing I could find for the network at intel is windows 2003 drivers.
You might check the laptop manufacturers website.

Another place you might find what you need is at www.driverguide.com. It is free but you must register to download anything. I have used them many different times.

    @Buddy Leroys
Yer info spot on, it is ATI Radeon 9600, installed and works well.
D/L the driver from the Manufacturers Website Aopen.com under-
    http://global.aopen.com/download.aspx

    BUT
firstly a error, typing mistake by me, sry abt that.
The Intel Ethernet Adapter is version 5.41.22.0 [/COLOR ]and NOT 5.42.22.0.
No wonder you guys cud not locate this version for XP.

Now the confusing part is the PCI Ethernet Adapter 10/100, since it it is Intel 8255x version 5.42.22.0, which my search also matches. I found info here for download-

    http://www.soft32.com/Download/Free/Intel_82557based_Integrated_Ethernet_PCI_10100/4-178603-1.html

Here it has a external mirror to Intel, and here my search ends.It takes me to a page where I can not make out what to d/l ??? Pls can yu check what yu make out of it. Thx

    @ buddy vicks
I did the search on driverguide.com-thx and under this link I get the following 5 results-

    http://members.driverguide.com/index.php?action=dosearch&qm0=intel8255x&qa5=12&dp=3&sm=h&jmd=and

again unfort can not make out which is the correct one.
    Pls can yu help out.

Highly appreciate all yr time and effort.
    Cheers(y)

P.S. MY GUESS is that this is the one I need for Intel 8255X

Looks like it should be the right one.
Download the zip file, extract it to your desktop
and run the installer if it has one.
If not,you will need to go to device manager and
click update driver and select the location of the files.

    Buddy Vicks and Leroys,

    Hei again.

Bulls eye there Vicks, new challenges always and so much to learn, its fun when yu see positive results :)

But stage two is unfinished, Network drivers are missing, I tried to search from the Zipped ATI RADEON files, no luck. It loads but says it wil not work and gives a code also, maybe just maybe it has different separate driver/s, which I can not trace or... pls see the SS shots,
    1. is from the zipped ATI Radeon files
    2. is from the Device Manger page

Guys any suggestions where to look and load ??
    P.S.
Also sending a SS of the the drivers update I did, maybe one of these files can give clue as to which specs or version is needed to get 'em going ?

Thx agn for yr time and effort. Cheers
    P.S.
Guys adding SS of Dev Mgr page, see those exclamation marks.... Bye

The network drivers will not be in the ati radeon files.
The radeon drivers are for the video.
You need to download the intel network drivers at the link
    you posted and unzip those.
The third photo you posted looks like the network drivers.
If you haven't extracted them yet, click file extract all
and extract them to your desktop.
Then, double click the setup icon to run the installer.
It may not run if the files have not been extracted.

If you can, download, (even if you must use cd, flashdrive or some other removable device) www.belarc.com. This small free program will list model numbers, license keys etc. This will tel you what brand/model network device you have so you can locate the drivers for it. You should be able to get them from the computer mfg.
If you have more trouble, you might be able to locate the driver at another free site (you have to register though) www.driverguide.com
    Good luck
Let us know how you come along.

Well let me ask, do you have a factory restoration cd for the pc? If so just load that and everything you need is right in front of you. Just load it while in windows and it should let you browse and install device drivers and such.

@ thx a lot for the suggestion new tech guy,
Dats de whole problem, dont have it and not avallable anywhere on the Net.
Seems Aopen was the original supplier for a Company in Norway, who introduced this as TUNDRA 1557.
No backup anywhere, can see from blogs quite a few guys have faced this problem once they had to reinstall the OS. As far as I recall there was no CD, the tech support for drivers etc was Online with the Norwegian company.
If any of yu guys come across TUNDRA OR AOPEN 1157 drivers, pls drop a word here
    because
no luck whatsoever getting the Network drivers to work. I simply keep on getting-
'This device cannot start (code 10), install the drivers first '
    @vicks and leroys
did the belarc update but no luck with info and drivers. The Network drivers are onboard the Motherboard itself? and I recall it was Broadcom something something...!
Ditto with the drivers file I have tried leroys, no luck !.
    Tell me guys
wil it help reinstall WIN XP, am not sure if these drivers wil be in it ?
Apprec any feedback or ideas, some1 suggested locally just put an external USB adapter ???
    Cheers

Can you post a screenshot of the network device listings in beldarc?
I am thinking if it is actually an intel chip, you might be able to
use the 2003 drivers on intels site.

Hmm well, just a stupid question, as i dont know the make of the pc. Is Tundra the manufacturer? Like if i knew the make and model I can try to find the support page. But, i think you probably need chipset drivers if anything. As usually things like ethernet will fall into place once the chipset is installed.

    Guys,
The SS attached herewith Leroys, pretty sure it is INTEL chip set
    and
not at all new tech guy, not a stupid question otherwise we wud have had much more info on the net.I will explain...
It was assembled and sold in Norway in 2005 by a company called PSDATA.NO under their brand name TUNDRA 1557/MS2141 NOTEBOOK
who got all the parts from
AOPEN IN Philippines, the real manufacturer and who ARE still operational and have a Website viz-
    http://global.aopen.com

Unfort Psdata stopped all support and as far as I cud gather on Aopen's Website there is no ref or support for this model !! Or.....!!
Maybe yu guys understand tech specs better and can make something out ?
    Cheers

Guys I have something for yu, it may help yu to identify whats missing of drivers and where to get them, what reference etc.
I just remembered my standby laptop uses the same ATI 9600 M 10 card and the same Intel 8255x Ethernet card. I am sending SS shots from this standby laptop, and Belarc adv from the same.I am sure this will help yu guys to interpret something, I feel positive we are very nearing a solution !!!!!!
    Cheers:)
