Solved: computer crashing help please

    my computer keeps crashing when i try to play a game .i can sit here all day on the net or anything else burning dvds playing music any thing else but play a game for 5 mins and blink

    did you try and update the Graphics Card Driver to the latest Driver?

    and does ur PC crash on every Game you try to play? or just the one Game?

    yes all updates are to date


    and yes all games doesnt matter

    even shuts down during memtest too and ive swapped out for new working mem

    still to no avail

    might not help much but a friend of mine asked me to check out a prob like that for him, only had 512mb or ram but turns out since they were two diff chips (256mb each) he actually had chips with dff frequencies, think one was a 266 mhz and the other a 133mhz or something of the sort, i poped out the 133 and it worked fine, games started to work and no more restart or freezes when he started the games.

    i hate to state the obvious but i dont know if you already tried, if its to diff chips then try just one of em, maybe switch the slot back and forth and boot up and try, (the obvious) if you have mem that operates at a diff frequency then might be a nice idea to try it instead of the 200mhz you hav in der now, worth the try believe me.

    suck my friend, since you already got updates for your video driver then i cant think of any other suggestions, just that memory or vid driver can be the main cause, describe what happens when you start the games, be a detail as possible please, oh and what games hav you tried.

    i start a game and about 5 mins into it the whole system just shuts down

    as far as games the same ones that i played before all this started

    cod, cod 2, css,bf2,jericho i just got that .

    im wondering if my mobo ram slots are going bad

    cpu 110-115 gpu 118-120 thats the norm for my setup
