I am having a computer freezing problem, but it is not random. It seems to occur only when I open a Windows explorer window and click in it. I have switched for now to Free Commander and I have no freezing problems.
This is what I have done so far:
run chkdisk - no problems reported
run Memtest (1 pass) - no problems reported
run System File Checker - no problems reported
    updated NVidia drivers
    updated Logitech drivers
    changed mouse/keyboard - no change

This is a recent upgrade to 7 Home Premium 64 bit from XP - clean install.
I have an Intel Core2 Duo E8400 with 4 GB of RAM, an Asus PQ5L Pro motherboard, and a 500 GB hard drive with lots of room left.
What else can I check? Any suggestions to solve this annoying problem?
    Thanks

Did it work OK after the upgrade?

I did another reinstall of the NVidia drivers and it appears that the problem has gone away - at least I cannot reproduce it now. Hopefully that is the solution.
