My computer is freezing up regularly, especially when a scan is in progress. I have tried to do a disk check but it freezes up during that too. Have to reboot manually as well, the ctrl+alt+del function wont work during the freeze up!!
The following are some errors listed in the event viewer, and I do not have stopzilla installed on my computer:

Welcome to TSG....

To download HJTsetup.exe from TrendSecure To Download HijackThis go to the following at the File Repository
Click on the link below to Download HijackThis Self Installer:

http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/threat_analytics/HJTInstall.exe

Save the file to your desktop.
Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\HijackThis.
Continue to click Next in the setup dialog boxes until you get to the Select Additional Tasks dialog.
Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
At the final dialog box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
At the top of the Notepad HJT log screen, hit Edit then Select All then click Edit and then click Copy doing that copies the text to the clipboard, you won't see it yet....
Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
A security expert with a gold shield to the right of their name should take a look at your log - please be patient.

======

Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module msntb.dll, version 3.1.0.68, fault address 0x00056b9c.

uninstall any of the Following Softwares You Have - http://www.file.net/process/msntb.dll.html

========
Error code 10000050, parameter1 ab966f00, parameter2 00000001, parameter3 bf82cdbd, parameter4 00000000.

navigate to C:\windows\minidump
Zip some of the recent minidumps and attach them here

No, I am not using STOPzilla, I have already uninstalled it. Was using the free trial fer a while, then got rid of it. Have also done a registry scan with REGcure, the funny thing with the registry scan it picks up 51 file/path references EVERY scan. Yesterday I perforemed 5 scans in a row, one after another and it still picked up 51 file/path references every time as well as empty registry keys every time. With the registry keys it might pick up 10 one scan and the next one 30 and the next one 50, and so on........
It says all errors fixed each scan but obviously thats not the case!!

PS

I'm not exactly sure what U mean by mini dumps??

I think maybe Windows Defender has something to do with the problems i've been having cause my comp. freezes every time it performs a scan, as iit did just a minute ago!!

The mini dumps are attached, this is all there was in the windows folder.

BugCheck 10000050, {ab966f00, 1, bf82cdbd, 0}
Probably caused by : nv4_disp.dll ( nv4_disp!DisableVidHeap+e5 )

The Crashes are Due to "nv4_disp.dll" which is your Nvidia Graphic Card Driver

Update your Driver for Nvidia and see if the problem gets resolved

Why Do You want the Location of the Driver ...

Just Download the latest Updates from Nvidia's site and install them
