Probably should post a HijackThis log so we can see what's going on. :)

    Rescan with Hijack This.
Close all browser windows except Hijack This.
Put a check mark beside these entries and click "Fix Checked".

Have you done another fresh install of XP since we last worked with you about 2 months ago in your last thread?

Your log shows the WINDOWS and Program Files folders in a D partition instead of the C partition.

Or did you leave the original XP in the C partition and then do a fresh install of XP in a D partition and now have 2 copies of XP in your computer?

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

Your log also shows the use of uTorrent, so there's a good possibility of infection present.

    Cheeseball81,

I have done what you asked me. Now what...

    Flavallee,

The last time you guys dealt with me I had done a Clean Install of Windows XP Professional. When I did that I also created another partition of my hard drive. So now I have 3 Partitions. The D partition is around 215GB. The C partition is 10GB. The J Partition (recovery partition) is 8GB. I use the C partition to keep my personal files. The D partition is used to keep my Program Files folder and Windows folder .That is all. There is only one copy of XP in my computer. I think. Can uploading(no downloading) via uTorrent result in viruses?

    ++++++++++++++++

Also a friend of mine has given me an internal DVD-Drive that I want to use with my computer. I can fit 2 dvd-drives in my computer so the other space for it is empty. Should I use it and have 2 Dvd-drives? It is a very old model of 1999. This is just for advice.

I suppose it's okay to upload....what are you uploading exactly?

How is the computer running? I think we should do this to be sure everything is okay...

[IMG] Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here.

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
    • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
    • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
    • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
    • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
    • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
    • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
    • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.
    Extra Note:

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.

Your partition setup is definitely unusual, but if it works for you, that's fine.

Using Torrent sites definitely can infect a computer. Follow Cheesball81's instructions for using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.45, and we'll find out soon enough if it's infected.

Just some big files I wanted to share with my friends.
I didn't happen to have a flash drive that was big enough.
There doesn't seem to be any change...but maybe its just me.
My brother says that it made a slight difference.
