One of your items appears to be malware. I'll ask Mods to move this to the security forum.

Run HJT again and put a check in the following:

    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/cust...search/ie.html
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/cust.../www.yahoo.com
    O4 - Startup: PowerReg SchedulerV2.exe
    O8 - Extra context menu item: &Search - http://edits.mywebsearch.com/toolbar...p=ZRxdm429MFUS

Close all applications and browser windows before you click "fix checked".

    I don't see any anti-virus software running.
Load AVG http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ it's free. Run a full scan and post the AVG scan results and a new HJT log.

Yes, that is what I wanted. Did you allow AVG to remove those items it found?

Download and scan with SUPERAntiSpyware Free for Home Users
    • Double-click SUPERAntiSpyware.exe and use the default settings for installation.
    • An icon will be created on your desktop. Double-click that icon to launch the program.
    • If asked to update the program definitions, click "Yes". If not, update the definitions before scanning by selecting "Check for Updates". (If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download and unzip them from here.)
    • Under "Configuration and Preferences", click the Preferences button.
    • Click the Scanning Control tab.
    • Under Scanner Options make sure the following are checked (leave all others unchecked):
      • Close browsers before scanning.
      • Scan for tracking cookies.
      • Terminate memory threats before quarantining.
    • Click the "Close" button to leave the control center screen.
    • Back on the main screen, under "Scan for Harmful Software" click Scan your computer.
    • On the left, make sure you check C:\Fixed Drive.
    • On the right, under "Complete Scan", choose Perform Complete Scan.
    • Click "Next" to start the scan. Please be patient while it scans your computer.
    • After the scan is complete, a Scan Summary box will appear with potentially harmful items that were detected. Click "OK".
    • Make sure everything has a checkmark next to it and click "Next".
    • A notification will appear that "Quarantine and Removal is Complete". Click "OK" and then click the "Finish" button to return to the main menu.
    • If asked if you want to reboot, click "Yes".
    • To retrieve the removal information after reboot, launch SUPERAntispyware again.
      • Click Preferences, then click the Statistics/Logs tab.
      • Under Scanner Logs, double-click SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log.
      • If there are several logs, click the current dated log and press View log. A text file will open in your default text editor.
      • Please copy and paste the Scan Log results in your next reply with a new hijackthis log.
    • Click Close to exit the program.

I Did A Complete Scan And Another Hi-jack This Log However When I Tried To "submit Reply" I Received A Message That My Post Was 78,000 Characters And S/b Reduced To 30,000.
I Noticed That Many Of The Items Were Cookies So I Am Going To Make Sure I Get All The Cookies And "temporary Internet Files" Out, Do Another Scan A See If That Will Reduce The Number Of Characters................seems Logical To Me.

Sounds good. This little program works well too!

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only

    • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
      Under Main choose: Select All
      Click the Empty Selected button.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Maybe I am just a little impatient waiting for web pages to load.
One thing I have run into within the past 8 0r 12 months is a web page will load blank and at the bottom where the loading page url is shown, I get the word "Done" but the screen remains blank. I either have to wait or "refresh" and then the page comes up immediately. I don't know if there is a remedy for that. My other concern is things running in the back ground which I dont need running all the time.
