I recently ordered G. Skill RAM:

    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428&cm_re=G.SKILL_Ripjaws_X_F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL_8GB_2X4GB_DDR3-1600-_-20-231-428-_-Product

to upgrade my current specifications of GSkill RAM:

    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277&cm_re=f3-12800cl9d-4gbrl-_-20-231-277-_-Product

Once I placed inside the computer, I booted it up, but nothing appear on my monitor. My monitor then went to sleep a few moments later. My old 2x2 was from 2013 and my new 2x4 is from 2015. I tried different combinations(for example: one 2gb(old) and one 4gb(new) which worked) but as soon as I put the 2x2 in dual channels, it wouldn't boot my computer. I have a friend who has the same RAM as me except it says 2014 on it, and my new kit worked on his computer wonderfully. Could this be a problem of age? Or maybe my RAM is disfunctional?

    Below are my specs:

    MB: Asus M5a97 Le R2.0
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
    GPU: EVGA Gtx 560ti
    RAM: 4gb (2x2) GSkill SDRAM 1600
    PSU: Corsair 650w
    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

Please tell me if I am missing information in my post,
    Thank You

What slots did you install the RAM in?

At first I put the 2x4gb in the 2 and 4th, and the 2x2gb in the 1 and 2nd slot.

Have you tried booting with just ONE stick of RAM from the 2X4GB?

With both 2x4gb? Or do you want me to boot with one 4gb and one 2gb?
