When I power on my computer, it will not start XP. It is as if it does not see my harddrive.
I can however press F11 while it is in the boot process and can manually pick my hard drive and it will then work correctly. Any Ideas

You need to go into the BIOS settings (press DEL or F2 or whatever it tells you to use for SETUP), find the BOOT menu, and make sure the first boot device is set to that drive.

I have since found, I also had a system32 file issue, and I have a hard drive that is apparently about to go. The drive was already set correctly in bios, I have gotten it to come back up by reloading xp , but I am going to have to replace 1 of 2 hard drives.
Thanks for your reply !!!!!!
