What is the exact make/model of the modem and router?

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:

Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

    IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

lets get started from the begining
look at the back of the verizon box check to see how many ethernet port are available ???? If u have any free port available then plug the blue cord one end to the verizon box on the free ethernet slot and other end to the linksys into the port which says internet (it will be a isolated port which will be isolated from the 4 remaining ports)...then connect one of ur computer to the linksys inorder to configure the linksys......inorder to do that take a new blue cord connect one end od the cord to the computer and other end to the number 1 port of the linksys ....power on the linksys wait until the power light turn solid......then turn on the computer then go the
    START--->RUN---->CMD---->IPCONFIG(In black window)
you should have the ipaddress as 192.168.1.100....Default gateway::192.168.1.1...then try to open an INTERNET Browser on the top of the internet explrer delete every thing and type 192.168.1.1 and hit enter on the keyboard ... you will have the page asking for user name and password do not type any thing in user name and password should be "admin" then u will be having the linksys page opened....

On the top in the black line u will be having wireless tab push on that ...center of the page you will be having the SSID (LINKSYS) delete it (use your first name there instead of linksys) hit save settings at the bottem of the page.....now disconnect the power supply of both the linksys and the verizon box
wait for one min ....plug the power supply first to verizon wait for 1 min and then plug the power to linksys wait one min
get back to computer at the right bottem crner of the computer you will have the single computer icon right click and try to connect to wireless network

I used a yellow cord instead of another blue because I only have one. I opened up IE typed in 192.168.1.1 I get username password but it won't take admin for the password. At the bottom of the screen on the right side it shows I am connected wirelessly but I'm not when I open up IE.,

What's the exact make/model of the modem as well. I'm guessing that you really have a modem/router and the subnets are the same.

Please post the IPCONFIG /ALL when connected directly to the modem with the router out of the picture.

That's the problem, the Westel is using the same base address.

Configure the Linksys base IP address to 192.168.2.1 and it will probably connect.

What's the EXACT model of the Linksys router, including the hardware version. It's on the label on the bottom.
