    Hello, I am new to this site and really hope for some help on following subject:
    I have Yamaha YSP-1000 Digital Sound Projector and I would like to connect my Dell XPS 410, so i can enjoy my extended collection of Jazz music.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi Rollerman, and welcome to TSG.

    From what I have been able to find on-line, your computer has a digital audio optical (S/PDIF) output and your sound bar has 2 optical inputs. A matching optical cable connecting the two should give you the best audio performance. You will need to make sure that the digital output is enabled in the computer's settings and the correct optical input is selected on the sound bar.

    Thank you so much for your help!
    I identified the Optical ports, got help on purchasing correct cable from Cable Wholesale for $19( including shipping!) and today I am enjoing as high quality of music as YAMAHA YSP1000 + Subwoofer YAMAHA YST-FSW100 can get!

    WOW! How little do we men need to be happy!(y)
