Solved: Connecting tointernet from a laptop...HOW?

    Well im on a laptop,(not my PC) and i was just wondering how to connect to the internet wirelessly (like my dads PocketPC can can search for connections)

    If someone knows how to do it and can provide step by step instruction it would be great!(y)

    Go to Start/Control Panel/Network Connections. Do you see a wireless adapter there? If so, then we can continue. If not, you will need to get a wireless ethernet card.

    You have to connect to existing networks.
    Are you near one?
    Do you have one at your home?
    Are you trying to connect to your dad's?

    Laptop wireless networking is not magic. It does not mean you can connect to the internet from anywhere. There has to be a network setup with wireless access.

    All this assumes the laptop has a wireless network adapter already installed. If it doesn't, that would be the first step.

    Hm ,then with all my efforts and there wasnt a sign of a ethernet card


    so i dont think we can go much farther...

    Thats too bad.

    Well i guess its closed

    You can buy and install a wireless adapter for the laptop.
