It's me again w/ another scavanged system.....

    Dell, P2, 300MHz, Win98, 64RAM

Installed a scavanged hard drive, 1 Gig ( I know it's small), formated it, installed Win98 and all looked great until.....

just a few simple clicks in a freecell game and the whole thing freezes. The first click of the mouse and a few white dots (holes) appear on the screen and every click brings more until the system freezes.....totally, to the point that I can't even shut it down.....

The only thing on it besides the basics is a modem, and that seems ok....

Am I right? Is this a hardware problem?

    Thanks all!!!!

Almost sounds like a bad video card with the Dots on the screen.
