whenver the card is the pci slot and i start windows me it gives me a blue screen and then after whenver i try to start any media playing software i again get a error and then it hangs therefore i cannot play any media

the card works fine on my mother comp running on windows 98 se.

I think it is a SB driver problem, I have read about it a lot. Try the LiveWare 3 drivers. But first remove the card and remove all sound card references in Device Manager using Safe Mode.
