Hi.

Have just tried to defragment my computer and have had an error message come up, which i have not had on previous fragments, as it was fragmenting it suddenly finished well before time and told me that there was 208 fragments with what i assume to be a volume of 10.04 Gb and that it is in this pathway- Documents & Settings\john\my documents, it said, once i had right clicked on the pathway that if these fragmented files are in use that they will significantly reduce the performance of the computer, i am not sure on what to do?.

My little boy has an I-Pod using I-Tunes to store his songs which i have been led to believe once he has downloaded the songs he wants, that he cannot get rid of them off the computer as it removes them off his I-Pod also my wife has got herself a Creative Zen Neeon music player similar to ipod and she has got songs on her storage software and i have got a feeling it has something to do with one or both of these items, if it has, can somebody give me advice on how to proceed as i am sure my wife and little boy will not want me to erase their library of songs and also is their a way of removing the ipod songs off the computer once they have been loaded onto the ipod as i think it it is ludricous that you are stuck with all these songs and no way of removing them once they have been transferred to the actual ipod.

I have included a Hijack-This Report just in case this shed's some light on the subject, thanks in advance.:)

Thanks for the reply, no i did'nt but i will, the only reason i put the HJT log on is because when i have posted other problems, people helping out have requested that information, and just as a matter of interest have i posted this on the right forum/section, maybe it needs to go into another section instead of (other software).
Any more advice will be warmly accepted.

Same for you too Williesbest2, downloaded the first one and that gave me a bit more info on what was causing the problem althought it did not seem to fix it, but when i downloaded the second one and ran that one, that seem to do the trick, as it is telling me that it has cleaned up 966 fragmented files and that the system is 100% clear now, as it is shareware i am seriously thinking of buying this one, is it a yearly payment or a one off payment, either way it is obviously better that the one on my system, why i don't know?.

Did any of you two manage to have a read of the HJT log! and if so does it look okay?.

Once again, thankyou both at this stage for the info.

I'm not sure what IPrimus is, but I'm sure it's harmless. Otherwise your log is clean. I'm not sure if it's a one time payment or a yearly fee. If I were you I would ask their tech support or customer service about that.
