I have a batch file to delete the following folders; DEL /q "%userprofile%\desktop\$PLUGINSDIR" DEL /q "%userprofile%\desktop\$TEMP" DEL /q "%userprofile%\desktop\$INSTDIR" but only the contents of the folders are deleted; the folders are not deleted what am I missing ? For extracting files, which is a better choice ? C:\Temp or C:\Windows\Temp

    Use RMDIR instead of DEL.
If the Directory contains subfolders you also wish to delete, add the /s switch.
