My computer has MS Word and I want to replace it with an another MS Word. I want to remove the old software because it is corrupted. It is listed with the MS Office group, but I don't want to remove all of Office, just the MS Word. Is that possible? I have MS Publisher and I can find that program listed separately. But not MS Word. Can I just put the new disk in and download it with the original one still on the computer? Hope so. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks, lilart

    Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs
Highlight MS Office then click the Change button, not the Remove button

You'll get a dialog with the option to Add/Remove Features, Reinstall or Repair, or Uninstall (Wording varies slightly between versions). Add/Remove Features will give you a list of installed components, just uncheck Word (Office 2003) or click the Hard drive icon in front of MS Word and choose Not Available (Office 2000)
