Solved: Dell Inspiron 1545 wrong dell drivers

    i have all the XP drivers for a dell inspiron 1545 installed except the audio...the audio driver downloaded from dell is the wrong one...i remember having this issue with another dell...and you actually had to install a lattitude driver...anybody have an idea?

    Did your Dell not come with 3 recovery discs inc. one with drivers? Could you contact Dell for the discs?

    Also, there's someone seeking help with drivers in this thread so have a look at what info he/she's being asked to provide for help here at TSG. I guess you'll need to post your version of the same info to help those who can help you here in your own thread.

    How is the Dell posted driver the wrong one? Have you installed Service Pack 3 for Windows XP which includes the Microsoft UAA support? You also need to install the chipset drivers as well before the audio drivers.

    tripple 6 i have noticed that dell is getting sloppy with xp support on some of the newer laptops. wrong drivers etc...
    it was a dell inspiron that had windows 7 i installed a dell xp sp3 disk and it hasnt asked for activvation...

    i used a driver utility program and it found the misssing driver....thanks for your guys help!!!
