Upon booting up my Dell Inspiron 530 it goes into a black screen where down the bottom it says:

    "Diskette drive 0 seek failure"

    and then below that:
Press F1 to continue, F2 to enter setup

When I press F1, the computer screen goes black for about a second then loads a black screen with a white cursor at the top.

I have Windows Vista. Prior to this I was trying to restore my computer to factory settings which I have done 1000 times before with other Dells but apparently theres not an option for it on this computer.

Any help with getting Windows to load would be greatly appreciated! I went through the forum searching for help but other solutions people had in regards to this didn't work for my computer!

I have since fixed the problem myself by fixing the CMOS features so it no longer thought I had a floppy disk drive. Hope maybe this helps someone one day!
