Hellloo,
Would a 512 video card fit into a Inspirion 531?
The power supply 300.
It has a PCIexpress x16.

Im not too sure what the motherboard is.

Basically yes except the power supply sounds low. Most require at least 350 watt so you may have to upgrade that as well, but it isn't a bad idea to do anyway.
