Solved: DELL wireless & Netgear

    Is anyone else having problems with DELL Wireless cards and Netgear wireless routers? I dont seem to have a healthy connection.

    have you tried to power down everything ..then power up the ISPs modom first and watch the lights until there all lit..take about 3 minutes then power up the router..

    Turn off ALL the proprietary "turbo" functions on both ends, stick with plain 802.11g/b protocols and see if it helps.

    I'll also move this to networking.

    Everything you guys said just went over my head. :( How do I check the protocol?

    In the router wireless configuration, you need to look for any "speed boosting" features and turn them off. I don't have a Netgear router here, so I can't be more specific.
