Can anyone satisfy a problem in my mind. Vista (for example) now has DirectX 10 Over the past few months we have all been using 9c. When I browse on the web for an expanation of what exactly Direct X is, I get a mass of (sometimes conflicting) explanations as to exactly what this program does. I am an ATI user. The Catalyst suite, which comes with the drivers for an ATI board, has all the functions which I read, are inherent in Direct X. Apart from not understanding what Direct X really does, could any contributers tell me here if I would need both Catalyst and Direct X.
