The my documents folder dissapeared from my desktop, so I made a new shortcut, and it stayed for awhile, but soon dissapeared too!

I have ran scan disk, and defraged, with no errors found... I have scanned for viruses with none found

Basically I have no idea why it keeps dissapearing or how to get it to stay !

    Any Suggestions?

Hi, and welcome to the board.

The Original "My Documents" is not a simple shortcut, so you can't replace it by one either.

    Try this:

Go to Start > Run, and paste the following into the box, then click OK:

    rundll32 mydocs.dll,RestoreMyDocsFolder

Reboot, and check whether My Documents are back.
