Dell Inspiron 250g hard drive: 50% free
    Pentium(R) dual core 2 ghz
    3 gig ram
    running Windows 7 Ultimate

I have run Divx Author on my Dell for year with no problems. Out-of-the-blue I click to start and the Divx Author logo comes up and almost instantly I get a generic Windows "divx author has stopped working". Every third or fourth (random) try when I cancel that out and a warning that Quicktime content will not work but the application can still run. Just can't prcess Quicktime, then Divx Author opens. I downloaded a fresh installation... same still happens???
I tried "task manager" processes right click divxauthor.exe uncheck the UAC virtualization and set the "Affinity" to 1. No change...
