    Hello...

The state of my computer has been in steady decline. It all started when i got a message from my nortons internet security that winlogon.exe was trying to contact the internet...

I ran hijckthis, i ran spybot, i ran ad-aware. fixed items i thought needed to be fixed. I don't know if it was before or after all this, but i began getting pop ups from sites i know do not have pop ups, like my own. ran all the programs again. the same offenders keep popping up... i have posted my logs on this site but sadly no one had responded.

anyway, now every time i restart my computer, I get a dll error. every time it is a different dll. also, when on for an extended amount of time, say overnight, i lose internet connectivity, even though my cable modem is showing that there is lots of activity going on...

can anyone givew me a clue what's going on, or where i can begin looking? should i just scrap it all and reformat my computer?

    thanks

OK, so i've done the scans and have found viruses that cannot be cleaned or deleted, and the ones that can, find their way back on again later. I don't understand how this happened because I have Norton Antivirus always on, and updated, as well as Norton's Internet Security...

Anyway, here's what the Housecall online scanner found:

    JAVA_BYTEVER.A
    TROJ_QLOGIC.A
    TROJ_DLOADER.HK
    TROJ_QLOGIC.A
    TROJ_DLOADER.FN
    TROJ_BUDDY.F
    TROJ_DLOADER.HK

Like I said, these are not cleanable, but most of them are deletable except for the JAVA_BYTEVER.A, which it says it cannot access, probably because it is in use.

Now, Here's my HIJACKTHIS log below.... if someone could help me out with this i would be forever greatful - THANKS!

Thanks for the instructions. Here's the things I ran into:

When I ran HJT to delete an NT service, it would not allow me to delete SvcProc because it said that it was enabled, and for me to disable it in HJT scan results, but I could not find an option to do so..

Also, when deleteing items in the temp directory, it would not allow me to delete index.dat from the history folder - it said that this file was being used by another person or program, but it was running in safe mode and there were no windows open except the one i was using to delete the files...

Still getting adware popups... here's my HJT log, any additional help is most appreciated. I'd hate to have to reformat my hard disk to fix this problem...

    thanks

EDIT: I have posted an updated log file below

You have several infections there to remove. Let's see if we can fix this one first then we'll get to the others.

Copy these instructions to notepad, save them to your desktop then restart to safe mode.

Click here for info on how to boot to safe mode if you don't already know how.

Click Start > Run > and type in:

    services.msc

    Click OK.

In the services window find System Startup Service.
Rightclick and choose "Properties". On the "General" tab under "Service Status" click the "Stop" button to stop the service. Beside "Startup Type" in the dropdown menu select "Disabled". Click Apply then OK. Exit the Services utility.

Run Hijack This again and put a check by these. Close ALL windows except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

    F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [bkbqzxa] c:\windows\system32\rwadbyv.exe

Next in Hijack This click on the "Config" button in the lower right corner. In the next window click on the "Misc Tools" button at the top then click the "Delete an NT service" button. Copy and paste the following line in that box:

    SvcProc

    Click OK

Go to Start > Run and type in cmd

    Click OK

This will open a command shell. In the command window Copy and Paste the following commands one at a time exactly as the appear below and hit the Enter key after each one:

    Paste this:

    del C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

    Hit Enter

    Paste this:

    del C:\WINDOWS\KJDEGOM.EXE

    Hit Enter

    Paste this:

    del C:\WINDOWS\CLFZEN~1.EXE

    Hit Enter

    Paste this:

    del c:\windows\system32\rwadbyv.exe

    Hit Enter

    Paste this:

    cd C:\windows

    Hit Enter

    Paste this

    nail.exe /FullRemove

    Hit Enter

    Paste this:

    exit

Hit enter to exit the command window.

    Restart your computer.

Come back here and post another Hijack This log.

    Also do this:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Read and Accept the agreement. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!.

Thanks for the response. I have posted the two logs below. One thing though, the file you told me to fix in HJT, rwadyv.exe was not there... i think it keeps changing its name. Anyway, thanks for the help. i really appreciate it...

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new Hijack This log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!
