I thought my laptop had a SSD until I ran into some discussions about defrag mentioning not necessary with SSD. Now I'm not certain. I'm completely unfamiliar with the terminology in this connection otherwise I would recognize if I did have it or not. I did a lot of googling with the info found in my system info, but couldn't get a yes or no answer. My machine says in one place 320GB serial ATA and in another Toshiba MK3263GSXN ATA Device. If it is SSD would it actually say SSD? Please, do I or do I not have a SSD?

According to that model number,it looks like you have
a sata 2 5400rpm drive.
Not an SSD.

Thanks for the quick replies and the definite conclusions which I couldn't find elsewhere. Now I know and I can plan on defrag.
