This is annoying me greatly and I can't find it to change it. I want my computer to sleep but wake when "I" say so. Every time I walk near it or sit at my desk, it wakes up automatically. Drives me batty. I don't always want to use it when I sit at my desk. When the computer was in my office it wakened every time I walked in the room.

How do I wake it ONLY by hitting a key? It's creepy. It's like my computer knows where I'm at. and I don't like it!

Thank you. I've disabled the mouse for wake-up and see if this makes a difference.

You're welcome.

If that does not solve the problem and the computer still acts as if it knows you entered the room, make sure it does not have a large hemisphere in the front with a glowing red light inside (and avoid entering any airlocks). :p :D

Ha Ha....it helped but not quite. It still went on. I did disable another "Power Management" area. I can't remember what it was anymore (small brain) and it still does it, but not as touchy. I strictly want to press a key to make it come on.

Anyway....thanks for creeping me out further...But at least I don't have a webcam that's always clicking a picture like it did on my now-crashed, not missed, laptop.

Nothing that some pink duct tape won't cure.(y) Solves everything, right? Even airlocks.:p
