    When it comes to hiding attributes do you use + or - as I am confused, please.

    Type attrib /? to get a list of the switches and how they're used. If you want to add the Hide attribute, you'd use attrib +H since + adds attributes, and - clears them.

    And it's - to remove the attribute and + to set it. ;)
