It probably will run XP but you will need to get chipset drivers from Nvidia, audio from Realtek, graphics from AMD, etc...

Everest will report the details of devices so that you can google for drivers.

The SM Bus indicates the chipset driver has not been installed . . you need to do that first.

Clearly #1 below won't help you, but maybe the rest of the list will if you are going to pursue drivers.

This is my preferred order for finding drivers:

    1. PC manufacturer's web site,
    2. Motherboard manufacturer's web site,
    3. Device manufacturer's web site,
    4. A "drivers" site, such as DriverGuide,
    5. Anywhere you can find one that might work,
    6. Let Device Manager try to find one.
    7. Use Windows Update.

The specs show the chipset is NVIDIA® nForce® 430 Chipset, supporting NVIDIA® GeForce® 6150SE Graphics. You should be able to download a driver from the Nvidia website. For your graphics, use Everest as suggested above to determine if you have Nvidia or ATI graphics (the Emachines website isn't clear).

Well I have beaten my head against the wall for a while now downloaded a heap of drivers (8.26_11.09_nforce_winxp_) and (VIA4in1v4.28 chipset) i thought may work still can't get online or it won't recognise the lan line... have ordered a recovery cd and still might go back to win7 if all fails.
